Justin Choi, President & CEO

Justin is a serial entrepreneur who founded multiple fast-growing businesses that collectively employ over 100 people: Cie Studios, an award-winning digital agency specializing in creating custom web and mobile apps for top brands; Cie Games, a venture-funded spinoff that builds leading casual games including Car Town, one of the top games on Facebook and iOS that has reached over 50 million players worldwide and featured partnerships with more than 40 major brands.

Nativo, Justin's 3rd venture, is a rapidly expanding advertising technology company that connects 2 of the most significant trends in online advertising: branded content and native ads. The Nativo platform enables publishers to easily activate, deploy and manage content-based native placements across their media properties. For marketers, Nativo extends the reach of their branded content with never-before-possible scale, targeting and in-depth analytics. Already leveraged by top agencies and over a thousand publications, Nativo has established itself as the leading platform enabling this next generation of advertising.

Woo Kim, Chief Financial Officer

Woo has spent his entire career as a finance professional in the technology industry. He previously served as CFO at kikin, a mobile software developer. Before that he was SVP of Strategy and Business Development at LifeWatch (SIX: LIFE), a leading telemedicine company. Earlier in his career, Woo was on the founding team at Vonage (NYSE: VG), a unified communications firm, where he served as VP of Corporate Development. Woo began his career in investment banking where he advised technology companies on IPOs, capital raises and M&A transactions at firms such as Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Revolution Partners/Morgan Keegan. Woo is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Jay Freedman, Chief Revenue Officer

Jay Freedman is the Chief Revenue Officer for Nativo, responsible for all global managed and platform revenue. In two years, Jay grew Nativo's sales team to a high-performing and well-respected revenue operation providing brand marketers with consultation on the new digital advertising ecosystem and driving innovative solutions on scaled brand content distribution.

Jay says, "I joined Nativo because it is pioneering the next stage of digital advertising. Nativo has been hyper-focused on building an incredibly advanced platform that makes it easy for publishers to employ native advertising within a day and for advertisers to build and deploy native campaigns at scale within a matter of minutes."

Prior to joining Nativo, Jay was SVP of Sales at interclick (Nasdaq: "ICLK") which he grew from a small ad network to a leading technology platform. It was acquired by Yahoo for $270 million enabling Yahoo to dramatically improve data-targeted solutions and optimize ROI for advertisers. Jay went on to lead the launch of Genome from Yahoo, a leading audience-targeting platform that resulted from the acquisition of interclick.

Jay most recently led the Technology and Telecom Vertical at Yahoo and managed marquee advertisers such as AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Samsung.

Jay says, "Native advertising is the evolution of content marketing and Nativo has built a superior technology platform to power the category, so the opportunity at Nativo is a perfect fit for me."

Oded Cohen, Chief Technology Officer

Oded Cohen was an early key engineer at EyeBlaster/MediaMind who quickly advanced to Director, then VP specializing in infrastructure, research and development. Oded was hands-on from the early days of coding, to staffing up and running a 70+ person global team. Oded and his team built MediaMind from a small startup into the 2nd largest ad serving company in the world, handling billions of transactions per day.

Oded most recently served as a VP of Engineering at DG (Nasdaq: "DGIT"), via the 2011 acquisition of MediaMind. "I'm very much looking forward to helping Nativo change the world of online advertising. Nativo is the right size and right match for my experience, and most importantly the right opportunity. I am looking to advance the platform and take it to the next level."

Oded has a Master of Business Administration specialization in Strategy & Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering & Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.

Christopher Rooke, SVP of Strategy & Operations

Chris brings more than 15 years of digital, media and ad technology experience to his role as SVP of Strategy & Operations. As a tenured executive, Chris has a long history of breaking down barriers and driving business forward through the combination of drive, tenacity and creativity at companies like Social Vibe, CBS Television and King World Productions. Previously at SocialVibe, Chris built and led the teams responsible for publisher development, demand sales and client services and as a member of the executive team, he exponentially expanded the company’s reach, diversified into new audiences and content verticals, activated third party demand and launched the first real-time exchange/SSP for rich media brand engagement across platforms.

Jason Kalin, SVP of Publisher Development

Jason Kalin brings to Nativo extensive experience in sales management, strategic partnerships and startup companies including over 10 years of providing monetization solutions to publishers. Jason previously served as VP of Publisher Development at Visible Measures, the leading independent third-party measurement firm for Internet video publishers, advertisers and viral marketers. Prior to Visible Measures, Jason was VP of Business Development at Marchex, a leading mobile and online advertising company. Jason was also an early employee and Director of Sales at IndustryBrains, a B2B online advertising solutions startup that was acquired by Marchex.

Chris LoRusso, SVP of Publisher Solutions

Chris leads the Publisher Solutions teams including Web Design & Implementation, Account Management and Support Engineering, ensuring publisher partners receive the highest level of consultative expertise and technical support. Chris joined Nativo in 2013 to build client-facing teams for both advertisers and publishers. As native formats took off, Chris sharpened his focus to exclusively drive publisher growth and platform utilization.

Prior to Nativo, Chris oversaw publisher relationships and platform utilization as Director of Business Development & Head of Client Services at true[X] before the company's acquisition by 21st Century Fox. Chris also led the Advertiser Account Strategy team at true[X], where he launched several first-to-market technology partnerships and engagement based ad experiences.

Sheri Ham, SVP of Programmatic

Sheri Ham joined Nativo in 2018 and currently serves as SVP of Programmatic. An industry veteran, Ham has led programmatic efforts as VP at Diply and SVP at Mode Media. At both Diply and Mode, Sheri built premium programmatic offerings, including private marketplaces and video with ongoing advancements to the technology stack. At Diply, she oversaw the transition from third-party programmatic to an in-house solution. Sheri previously served as VP of Sales at Lycos, Director of Sales at Monster and Director of Sales for Wired Digital. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University.

George Carney, SVP of Sales

George Carney, SVP of Sales, joined Nativo in 2012 and is responsible for driving revenue with his West Coast Sales team, with whom he has continuously sold into key brands such as T-Mobile, Starbucks and Amazon. George graduated from Bryant University, Rhode Island with a degree in Business Administration and sold his first online program in 1997 with a $250 CPM for a 468x60 banner. Prior to joining Nativo, George served as VP/General Manager of Advertising Sales & Operations at RealNetworks, where he held different roles in sales and sales management as well as roles at CMP Media, Ziff-Davis and NEC Technologies. George is a father of two and a published musician who enjoys live music, surfing and travel.

Michelle O’Donnell, SVP of Sales

Michelle O’Donnell currently serves as SVP of Sales for the Central Region at Nativo. Prior to joining the team, Michelle spent 18 years in digital media sales and management, representing both the publisher and tech platform sides of the business. Michelle has started top performing Central Region sales offices for About.com, Internet Broadcasting Systems, Collective Media and now Nativo. Michelle graduated Magna Cum Laude with Distinction in English from The Ohio State University before beginning her career in New York City in 1999 and moving to Chicago in 2001.

Andrew Rosen, SVP of Sales

Andrew Rosen serves as SVP of Sales at Nativo, the world’s most advanced content technology company. His fourteen years in the industry have spanned legacy internet giants (Yahoo!), successful and innovative ad tech companies (Quigo, interclick) and major media outlets (Huffington Post, Conde Nast), giving him a unique perspective on both mass media and emerging technologies.

He has a passion for problem-solving, market strategy, storytelling and working with creative, dynamic people who love challenges and never settle.

Julie Rubash, VP of Legal

Julie is VP and Head of Legal at Nativo, overseeing transactional, litigation and regulatory matters for the company, as well as Nativo’s human resources function. Since joining the company, Julie has been instrumental in driving Nativo’s GDPR and privacy compliance efforts and shaping the company’s legal processes. Julie has focused her entire career practicing advertising, technology and privacy law. Prior to joining Nativo, Julie was a Senior Associate of Entertainment, Technology and Advertising and Lead Associate of the Advertising Industry Team at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, LLP. Julie has also served as an Associate with the Advanced Media and Technology group at Loeb & Loeb, LLP. Julie is an active member of TechGC and the Women’s General Counsel Network. She holds a J.D. and a Master’s of Computer Science and Technology from DePaul University.

Casey Wuestefeld, VP of Platform Operations

Casey Wuestefeld serves as Nativo’s VP of Platform Operations, where his current focus is bringing native to the masses by growing Nativo’s self-service customer base. An operational maven with a knack for execution, mentorship and working cross-functionally, Casey previously led Nativo’s Campaign Operations and Account Management teams, ensuring brand partners received excellent service, strong performance and quality insights. Prior to Nativo, Casey was the Director of Sales Operations at Jumpstart Automotive Group. He has a B.S. in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara.

Eugene Cherny, VP of Product

Eugene Cherny, VP of Product, came to Nativo from Google, where he worked as a Product Manager growing the footprint of native video ads on YouTube. During his time at Google, Eugene worked with advertisers, sellers and the YouTube consumer team to encourage the adoption of ads as content. A veteran of the LA tech scene, Eugene was a founding employee at A2i, Inc., an innovator in data management software, and was awarded 4 patents related to his work. After the company’s acquisition by SAP, he served in engineering and product leadership roles.

Eugene says, “As publishers evolve, advertisers become more sophisticated and companies like Nativo make native ads easy, we’re seeing the era of aggressive, annoying and useless banner ads come to an end. I’m really excited to be a part of Nativo because I’m passionate about making advertising delightful, useful and effective.”

Jeffrey Wayne, VP of Marketplace Development

Jeff Wayne joined Nativo in 2016 and currently serves as VP of Marketplace Development. Jeff is responsible for the development and growth of unique monetization solutions for Nativo publishers, overseeing Nativo’s Open Exchange business and leading programmatic partnerships. Prior to Nativo, Jeff held leadership roles at early stage startups including Advertising.com, Rocketfuel and AdsNative. Jeff says, “It’s extremely rewarding to work with a group of professional problem solvers that are always innovating. If you love the process, the results take care of themselves.”

Chao Liao, VP of Solutions & Activations

Chao Liao joined Nativo in 2017 and currently serves as VP of Solutions and Activations, managing the ad operations, analytics, content and strategy of Nativo’s managed service business. A true force in the industry, Chao is passionate in the art and science of marketing through technology, having previously served as VP of Partnerships at Snaps, Senior Director of Brand Strategy at YouBeauty.com, Chief of Staff at Buzzfeed and Chief of Staff at AOL. Chao earned a BA in Mathematics with a minor in Music from Trinity College-Hartford in 2011, and enjoys playing tennis, the piano and the organ, and traveling.
